Life and Career
Susanne Wuest started acting on stage at the early age of five, worked at different Austrian theaters and received profound artistic education from the same age on. Her classes included voice & speech, piano, ballet, tap dancing, fencing and literature. She is equally at home on stage and in front of the camera. Just out of high school Susanne already started working at the prestigious "Volkstheater" in Vienna. On the big screen she gained international attention with a leading part in the feature "Antares".

'Antares' (dir: Goetz Spielmann) not only became Austria's submission for the Academy Awards in 2005 (Best Foreign Language Film), but was also invited to more than 30 International Film Festivals and got her nominated 'Best Young Leading Actress/Drama' for the European Young Talent Award "Undine" in 2005.

She has been working with various acclaimed directors since then, such as Wolfgang Becker ('Good bye, Lenin') for "Deutschland 09" and Anders Ronnow Klarlund ('Strings') for the upcoming feature 'The Secret Society of Fine Arts'. Along a high profile German cast including Heino Ferch she played the female lead in the feature "Max Schmeling", portraying film star Anny Ondra, the wife of the legendary boxer.

Trivia
Has been nominated 'Best Young Actress' for the Undine Award 2005 for 'Antares'.
Has been playing piano since the age of five.
Speaks German (native), English fluently (hardly accent), French (basics).
