Biography
Matilda Mecini is a beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Albania 2008 on April 4, 2008. Mecini then represented Albania in the Miss Universe 2008 pageant in Nha Trang, Vietnam on July 14, 2008. Mecini studied World Literature at the University of Tirana. She is a basketball player and was the team leader of the professional basketball team Tirana when she was only sixteen-years-old. Mecini started modeling in her mid teens for Sherri Hill and Roberto Cavalli. She has since modeled for other fashion designers in England, France, Italy, USA, and Albania. She speaks Albanian, English, Italian and French.
