Life and Career
Aura was just three months old when her parents Manuel and Maria Figueiredo immigrated to Canada from Portugal. Aura and her family including three sisters (Teresa, Grace, and Karmen) lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba and then moved to Victoria. Enrolling in the prestigious Tracy Roberts Actors Studio, run by veteran screen star and director Tracy Roberts, Aura began to fine tune her craft. Aura studied with Roberts closely and is grateful for all of her insight and advice. Her big break came when she was offered to produce her very first theatrical play, Next Stop Murder, written by Frank Semerano. This project was very important to her and she not only produced but she also directed and cast all the actors. "Next Stop Murder" is a side splitting musical murder mystery comedy, a first for Aura's production company "Picture Films, Inc".
